Dynamic stretches or static stretches? The right type of stretching can greatly impact your athletic performance and risk of injury. Dynamic stretches are best done as a warm up before vigorous exercise, and involves actively moving muscles in sports-specific motions for 10-12 reps. Static stretches are held for 30-60 stretches and should NOT be done prior to vigorous activity - it may actually hurt your performance and put you at risk of injury! Instead, add static stretches at the end of your cool down to gently release tension and support faster muscle recovery and long term mobility. Give us a call and our team can help you build a routine that fits your goals. 📞 (253) 220-4099

Why Kintsugi?

Kintsugi is built on the idea of strength and beauty in imperfection. When a ceramic object breaks, the kintsugi technique involves using gold dust and resin (or lacquer) to reattach the broken pieces. The resulting piece thus incorporates the unique cracks into its design, and the gold lines add to the beauty of the piece while strengthening it. This art form is seen to many as a metaphor for brokenness and healing—that embracing one’s brokenness and imperfections can create something unique, beautiful and strong.
