Klaud, a valued member of our Culinary Department, was nominated by a resident who praised him not only for the meals he serves but for the kindness and care he brings to every interaction. Known for remembering personal preferences, checking in with a warm smile, and making each dining experience thoughtful and enjoyable, Klaud turns daily moments into something special.

His superpower is Hospitality. Whether it’s preparing a plate just the way someone likes it or creating a welcoming dining experience, Klaud nourishes both body and spirit through genuine acts of care.

Meet Karen Haedo, RN, BSN our Infection Preventionist 💙

For Karen, nursing has always been more than a career — it’s a calling. From caring for others as a child to now serving residents at Central Baptist Village, Karen has always known she was meant to be a nurse. What she loves most about long-term care is the opportunity to truly know residents, care for the whole person, and become part of their extended family. “There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a resident smile and knowing they’re genuinely happy to see me,” she shares.

Karen’s connection to the community runs deep from when she first visited as a Girl Scout, and today, not only has she dedicated 32 years to serving here, but her own mother now calls Central Baptist Village home. Her compassion, dedication, and commitment to our Heart to Serve mission inspire us all. ✨
