R & T PT saw its first patient on February 13th of 2012 and quickly outgrew its location at 112 South Division Street. By April of 2013, the 5000 square foot building located at 104 Cardinal Drive was in full operation. R & T PT treats all ages and conditions, specializing in: sacroiliac conditions (SI), low back and other pain, sports medicine, pediatrics, lymphedema, vestibular and dizziness, fall management, balance improvement, joint replacements or other orthopedic surgeries, cardiac and pulmonary rehab, hand therapies, and stroke rehab. R & T PT also has a 24 hour access fitness gym accessible with paid membership.

Katie came to us after a traumatic cesarian section that caused extreme nerve damage to her abdomen. She had numbness to the marked area, as well as pain at the scar and below. Over the course of eight weeks, she received dry needling to assist the nerves in healing and to help decrease pain and improve sensation. The photos are numbered as the weeks progressed. At her last appointment, her area had decreased about 90% and the numbness in the remaining area is slight. Her pain has resolved and she is thrilled with her recovery.

Katie is almost done with her journey at R&T. She had complications with a cesarian section one year ago that severely affected her ability to be a mom to her precious baby. The road has been a long one, but she smiles and says through happy tears, "I'm thankful I'm able to get onto the floor to play with my baby."

Gary Anderson walked into the gym today in a "dramatic" fashion, announcing that he is "so much better than what I was. I'm actually better than better!" His back pain limited him with what he could do, and now he is able to work all day long on the farm without pain and without resting.

If you have low back pain, you don't have to wait to get started on your recovery. Illinois allows for you to see a physical therapist without a doctor's order, although you do have to have a regular physician that we can coordinate care with.
