Nutrition counseling involves a careful examination of your past and present difficulties with food and your eating patterns – what, where, when, why, and how you eat; what makes you choose foods that are unhealthy for you; what makes you keep eating when you know you should stop; what makes you stop or avoid eating when you know you should eat. Together, we create a unique and individualized food plan, taking into account your body composition, structure, and metabolism; your lifestyle and food preferences; and your personal goals related to food. Here's my "Perfect Snack List" to inspire healthy shopping and snacking this week (and the next!):

- 2T Peanut Butter and Apples or Celery
- 1oz Nuts and 1oz Raisins
- Chopped Chicken and Avocado
- 2oz Cheese and Mandarin Orange Cup
- Edamame
- 1 Cup (6oz) Applesause, Cinnamon and 1oz Nuts
- Ricotta with Applesauce (heated)
- Oatmeal with Fruit
- Cherry Tomatoes and Mozzarella Cheese with Balsamic Vinegar
- Hummus and Vegetables
- Turkey Rollups
- Hard Boiled Egg Salad or Vegetables
