Hormone Healing Tea Blend

Here’s a very brief rundown on the ingredients and their benefits…….

Red raspberry leaf- naturally high in magnesium, potassium, iron, and b-vitamins making it helpful for relieving nausea, leg cramps, and improving sleep. It is beneficial for the female reproductive system as it strengthens the uterus and pelvic muscles.

Yarrow flower- reduces menstrual cramping, encourages menstruation, anti-inflammatory, andi-spasmodic, lowers blood pressure, and stimulates the release of stomach acid to digest proteins and fats; treats colds, fevers, and indigestion, and is used in skin treatments for slow-healing wounds. ***DO NOT TAKE YARROW IF YOU ARE PREGNANT AS IT MAY INDUCE CONTRACTIONS LEADING TO MISCARRIAGE***

Nettle leaf- used for centuries to treat allergies because of its ability to reduce inflammation, also used to treat anemia, excessive menstruation, pms, arthritis, rheumatism, and skin complaints (especially eczema).

Lemon balm- helps relieve anxiety, nervous agitation, insomnia, stress,heart palpitations, headaches, high blood pressure, functional gastrointestinal omplaints, urinary spasms, and pms symptoms.

Red rose petals- high in vitamin c, iron, bioflavonoids and antioxidants, helps regulate menstruation, reduces anxiety and mood swings.

Common Milkw**d (left) vs. H**p Dogbane (right)

These two plants are related and similarities include creeping roots, leaves that appear on opposite sides of the stem that clasp the stalk, and they both produce a milky sap.
How to tell them apart: young milkw**d leaves have fine hairs on the underside and dogbane leaves are nearly hairless; milkw**d stems are generally thick and green, while dogbane stems are usually red to purple and thinner in comparison; dogbane usually branches in the top canopy while milkw**d typically does not branch unless it has been mowed; seed pod shape is distinct after flowering with milkw**d producing an upright teardrop shaped pod and dogbane producing a long bean-like pod that hangs from the plant.
While both are considered toxic to livestock, you can forage and eat milkw**d if you cook it. Young shoots, unopened flower buds, and young seed pods can all be cooked and eaten. When harvesting, make sure the stem is hollow as dogbane will have a solid stalk. No parts of the milkw**d plant should be bitter. It will have a mild, somewhat pleasant taste. If it tastes bitter it is dogbane or something else besides milkw**d. Dogbane is useful for its fibers and making primitive rope and cordage. If you do choose to forage milkw**d, please use sustainable practices as it is the only food source of Monarch butterflies.
