Berkshire Nursing Families FREE lactation and parenting services and support to families of Berkshire County, Massachusetts. Call or Text 24/7 for support 413-344-2800

BNF provides Berkshire County families services prenatally, and postpartum up to 6 months, with additional support offered up to a year or longer whenever needed. BNF provides developmental education, lactation consultations, a 24/7/365 feeding and parenting support line, playgroups, peer support groups, childbirth and breastfeeding classes, and home, clinic, pediatrician-based, and virtual visits – all for free – thanks to the generous support of grants and donors. No family ever receives a bill from BNF.

Hot off the presses, it’s our Spring/ Summer Classes and Groups Schedule. You will see some old favorites and a new day/time for the walking group (which now includes a post walk bring your own lunch picnic chat). We can’t wait to see you!

Our lactation staff loves getting to support you in your infant, baby, and toddler feeding journey.

Our clinical staff does home visits, visits in the pediatricians office, run play groups, do phone consults and so much more! Never a dull moment.

Join Isabel from BNF, Certified Childbirth Educator, Certified Lactation Counselor, and private Doula for a 6- week series built around real talk, real questions, and real preparation.

No long lectures. No awkward classroom vibes. Just the information you need and honest conversation-- the parts people talk about and the parts they don't.

What's special about this birth education course?
📣 There's no such thing as TMI here. It's a safe place to ask anything and share your story.
🫃🏽The series is designed as a space for pregnant participants, to keep the group small and comfortable for open conversations.
🌸 Partners and support people are encouraged and warmly welcome to join the final class of the series where we bring everyone together to talk about ways they can support you during birth and labor, and answer all their questions.

On behalf of BNF, Celeste and April accepted an award from the Family Center last month for their many years of collaboration. 💛

BNF has been collaborating on playgroups with the Child Care of the Berkshires since the early 2000’s and have hosted 1200 playgroups in their North Adams space (since CCB started tracking in 2012).

Kudos to the team!

We are grateful for great community partners and the many families that have joined us over the years and looking forward to many more!

One week later and we're still smiling about trivia night. A room full of laughter, passionate debates over the most random facts, and a whole lot of community spirit. Events like this are a reminder that when people come together, good things happen. So grateful to everyone who showed up, played along, and helped raise funds for BNF. Community care > correct trivia answers anyways. 💛
