Every garden tells a story. For one of our newest couples, that story is about love, loss, and keeping memories close. Their daughter’s memorial garden has found a new home here at Brightview—nestled along the walking path, in view from their porch, and a place they pass by on their evening walks together. Surrounded by a caring community, it continues to bloom with beauty and meaning.

We’re excited to announce that Brightview Joy’s Farm has officially broken ground in Paramus, New Jersey! Joy’s Farm will mark the 11th Brightview community in the Garden State.

This new community will bring Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care to the region, along with thoughtfully designed amenities and vibrant spaces for residents to thrive.
Once complete, Brightview Joy’s Farm will offer 170 luxury apartment homes along with stunning community amenities such as a movie theater, pub, health and wellness spa, game room, outdoor dining, and more!

We’re proud to continue growing in Northern New Jersey and look forward to welcoming residents in late 2026.

We may be biased, but we truly believe we have the best residents in the world.

At Brightview North Andover in Massachusetts, resident Mary Todd recently wrote and published a powerful book chronicling her husband Jim’s journey with Alzheimer’s. The book, which lists Jim as a co-author, weaves in real conversations between the couple as Mary set out to be “emotionally honest” in sharing their experience.

It’s an intimate, brave, and beautifully written account of love, loss, and resilience. From July 7–11, Brightview communities across Baltimore and Annapolis welcomed the Avila Art Makers Exhibits and Artist Talks, a heartfelt program with Avila Home Care that brought powerful works of art and live artist conversations directly to our residents.

“It was not the future we envisioned for ourselves.”

At last week’s book signing, we honored Brightview North Andover resident Mary Todd, who recently published You Make a Big Good, a memoir about her husband Jim’s journey with Alzheimer’s and vascular dementia.

The book is honest, heartfelt, and real. Mary doesn’t shy away from the pain, the questions, or the love that lived in the in-between. Her words—and Jim’s—remind us that caregivers and loved ones aren’t alone on this journey.

We partnered with the North Andover Youth Center for an Intergenerational Tea Party, and what an amazing time it was. A huge thank you to the wonderful young ladies from the Step Up program for making tea time such a success and bringing so many smiles to our community.

We started the morning with a tribute to those who served, followed by live entertainment and a community cookout that brought everyone together under clear skies.

And to top it off, Butch kicked off our May Resident Speaker Series with a talk that sparked connection and conversation.

A beautiful day, in every sense.
