April is Parkinson’s awareness month. At FYZICAL in North Andover, our Doctors of Physical Therapy provide comprehensive skilled PT a and skilled maintenance therapy for clients of all ages and stages with Parkinson’s Disease.

Our safety overhead support harnesses and computerized balance equipment allow us to maximize challenges to this clientele while maintaining safety.

As our fabulous student, Leah, finishes out her last week with us she presented on Migraine and BPPV.
🧠👂

Our clinicians learned more of the pathology of vestibular migraine and the links between BPPV and migraine disorder. We see many clients who present with VM and increased BPPV recurrence due to migraine disorder. Thank you Leah!! 👏

Happy National Parkinson's Awareness Month!

"When you've met one person with Parkinson's, you've met one person with Parkinson's.”

This common phrase applies to our individualized approach at evaluating and treating our clients with Parkinson's Disease. It is our goal to maximize functionality in these clients and get them feeling their best. Many of our clients continue with skilled maintenance therapy once they have achieved their goals and their balance is relatively normal. We are continuing to offer our Parksinon's exercise group weekly on Thursdays from 12:15 to 1:00. The class is led by one of our Doctors of Physical Therapy and focuses on posture, functional strength, balance and dual task training.
