Health Education with Compassion
Health Care today allows providers limited time to educate patients on their disease process. People must receive easy-to -use information about health care issues, according to US Department of Health and Human Services.
According to Healthy People 2020, health literacy is essential for people to obtain, process, and utilize basic health information. (National Action Plan to Improve Health Care Literacy, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, 2010)
