We’re so excited to share this new group!

Throughout the 8 sessions, there will be psychoeducation provided on connection between the body and mind/somatic processing, learning the benefits of the tools of awareness and curiosity, and guided work using these tools. We will be using various modalities to help you create a deeper understanding with yourself as well as a connection with others. Some of these modalities include expressive arts such as creating images as well as exploring movement.

When: Thursdays via zoom, 5:30-6:30pm
Fee: $45/week

It can be really easy to get caught up in the moment when we have strong feelings. Pausing before reacting can help to give more space to allow us to feel our emotions so we are more able to think about how we want to respond rather than reacting.

So often the part of our brains that processes and plans can shut down when we experience intense and uncomfortable emotions. By allowing ourselves some time to breathe and regulate, it helps our bodies regulate and that prefrontal cortex to turn back on.

Learning to set boundaries is essential for maintaining healthy relationships and self-care. It's okay to say "no" when needed to protect your time, energy, and well-being. Remember that setting boundaries allows you to prioritize your needs while still being compassionate towards others. If you're struggling with this, practicing assertiveness and open communication can help you find a balance between saying "yes" to others and saying "no" when necessary.

It’s natural to avoid feelings that are uncomfortable or painful. It’s especially hard if we weren’t taught that these feelings were ok or received support when we felt them growing up.

When our pain has never had support we will often avoid as a way to protect ourselves. Healing can happen when we have support and be with our pain and our wounds.
