Rowland-Ford Funeral Home

Rowland-Ford Funeral Home Since 1992, families have trusted Rowland-Ford Funeral Home to care for and honor the lives of their loved ones.

The Rowlands have been serving North Augusta and the surrounding area for more than thirty years. In 1991, after finishing his commitment to a large corporate funeral service, Johnny Rowland, along with his wife, Miriam, began construction of Rowland Funeral Home in North Augusta. This privately owned firm enabled them to give the community the personal attention and compassion they deserved. In 1

996 the support of the community gave the Rowlands the opportunity to begin building a larger and more convenient facility. The new 12,000 square foot facility on Martintown Road opened in 1997. Upon the opening of the new facility, Rowland Funeral Home was invited to join the Selected Independent Funeral Homes Association. Membership is by invitation only, and is reserved for the most highly regarded funeral homes in the nation. In 2017, the Rowlands were proud to turn over operations to their daughter and son-in-law, Miriam and Michael Ford. The name was changed to Rowland-Ford Funeral Home, and the tradition of service and compassion continues.

It has been brought to our attention that someone is calling the families that we serve claiming to be part of our firm and requesting payment for services that had not yet been rendered. Please DO NOT give them any information! We do not outsource our billing, everything we do is done by our staff with the interest of the families that we serve being the priority. If anyone receives a call that doesn't seem legitimate, it probably is not. Our phones are answered 24 hours a day by our staff, we do not have an answering service, so if you receive a call, please call the funeral home immediately so that we can be made aware of it. The number that was used was 404-863-7643. Our main focus is the kind and compassionate care of the families that we serve in their time of need, not collecting funds before services are rendered. We hope everyone has a safe and Happy Easter!

Edit-----Upon further investigation, the caller, Craig, is doing this using other funeral home names as well.

Attention BBQ lovers!! How would you like to help one of our outstanding public servants and have BBQ for Memorial Day at the same time? We along with several other volunteers are selling BBQ plates to be picked up on Friday, May 28 from 11:00-2:00. We are only selling 500 plates so be sure to get your ticket before they are gone! 100% of the proceeds of this fundraiser will go directly to the Cook family. We have been fortunate enough to get the food, packaging, and labor donated! If BBQ is not your thing, please consider sharing this post to help us get the word out. Tickets will be available for purchase starting tomorrow, Thursday May 6, at the following locations: Rowland-Ford Funeral Home, Duraclean, Austin Taylor Insurance on Martintown Rd., Hixon Insurance, London Thuan State Farm, and Stone Roastery. Please continue to pray for the Cook family as they walk through this difficult time. We are grateful to be able to give back to a family that has given so much to our community. Thank you for your support!

Always be conscious of state and federal laws when scattering, and be sure to check with the location first. Cremation is an ancient tradition, dating back at least 20,000 years. Scattering cremated remains is a wonderful and time honored way to lay your loved ones to rest. Do you have any interesting places you’d want to be scattered?

“Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.” - Dr. Seuss

Dr. Seuss talks a lot about love and loss in his writing. One of his children’s books that explores emotions from loss and struggles is “My Many Colored Days.”

Another famous quote of his is this, “Life’s too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right, forgive the ones who don’t and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it’d be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.”
