On Saturday night at 7:15pm we were alerted to a house fire on Embargo Place. While en route, Assistant Chief Mike Elco (1-8-31) activated our full mutual aid plan due to the quantity of calls being taken as well as a column of smoke in the distance. Chief Elco was on scene within 2 minutes and confirmed the “working fire”.

Crews were met with a heavy fire load. Multiple hose lines were stretched and an aggressive attack was made. The fire was brought under control in approximately 90 minutes.

7 civilians and 1 firefighter were transported to a local hospital for evaluation. One firefighter was evaluated on scene and not transported. All units were under the command of Chief Pete Alt (1-8-30).
