With DDW 2026 officially wrapped, we are proud of how our team bridged the gap for international delegations. Our goal was simple: handle the complexities of U.S. housing so global specialists could focus entirely on the science.

Will international physicians still travel to the U.S. for medical meetings?
Is the entry process getting harder?
Are new visa fees going to affect registration numbers?

These are the questions we are hearing from associations and sponsors right now. The U.S. Travel Association just published a fact sheet that answers them with data.

68 million international travelers visited the U.S. in 2025. The federal government is adding 5,000 new customs officers and investing over $500 million in faster biometric entry systems. A proposed $250 visa fee could discourage nearly 1 million visitors and cost $9 billion in spending, and U.S. Travel is actively working to halt it.

ABTS monitors these developments because they affect every international housing block, every sponsored group, and every travel itinerary we manage. For nearly 30 years, that has been the job.
