Welcome, Witchlings, to Season 3, Episode 18 of our Friday Night practice. As we continue our monthly journey, Remembering Without Forcing, we turn our attention toward a complex weekly theme: The Shadow Side of Love.
Tonight’s Yoga Nidra is a radical invitation to stop "finding" yourself and start remembering. Finding implies you are missing; remembering recognizes that your true self has been here the entire time, patiently waiting beneath the noise of expectation, ambition, and the pressure to perform. This is a practice of surrender without collapse and awareness without effort.
Through this deeply grounding session, we will:
The Posture of Safety: Use specific Yoga Nidra asana adjustments to signal safety to the brainstem and move out of "scanning" mode.
Rotation of Awareness: Systematically move through the body to create a continuous landscape of sensation and rest.
Opposites Practice: Explore the balance between heaviness and lightness, warmth and coolness, to realize you are the awareness in which all states arise.
The Ember of Self: Uncover the steady, quiet glow of your true identity—the version of you that existed before you learned to curate yourself for approval.
Roots of the Heart: Sink roots from the back of the heart into the steady, non-judgmental holding of the earth.
If your nervous system has been braced all week—held together by willpower and caffeine—let this be the place you set it down. You are not behind, and you are not missing an instruction manual. You are simply uncovering what has always been intact.
