Happy Lunar New Year!

February 12 marks the start of a new year, the beginning of Spring, and the year of the Ox!

The Ox, known for hard work and its even temperament will bring on a calmer year with less stress. There is still a lot of work to be done this year that will take patience, but like with farming and agriculture, the Ox can help us reap rich harvests towards the end of the year!

A brief intro to San Fu Tian. This is a traditional therapy that is done in the summer to prevent winter diseases, like the flu. If there is any time in modern day history to start this, it’s now!!!

Chinese Herbal Medicine is powerful and amazing in treating those “underlying health conditions” that can make one more vulnerable to . The best form of prevention is to work on that, rather than just “boosting the immune.” This is treating the ROOT.

If you’ve contracted acute respiratory symptoms, you’re asked to simply stay home if they’re mild, waiting for symptoms to either improve or worsen 😬. This is branch treatment but Chinese medicine is great for this too!!

I’ve been offering telemedicine consults for over a year now, and it’s pretty simple! See my website for more info or to schedule!

After several years of experimenting, I feel the classic formula, Qing Dai Gao is the winner for “damp-heat” or “toxic-heat” dermatitis characterized by red itchy skin. It works well for people that get flares here and there over relatively small areas of the skin.

Much of the herbal powder remains in the formula, making it quite potent, so a little bit goes a long way! I use quality herbs from and top notch oils from

These little jars are 1/8ounce in size. They make great samples. If you’re a Chinese Medicine Practioner in the Seattle area, I’d be happy to drop you off a sample or two to try. I plan to start selling these at whole sale prices soon under the name !

Themes surrounding race, diversity and social justice have emerged in my recent life, along with a passion to create change.

Thank you to for snagging me a ticket to this inspiring lecture by with special guest

A few memorable thoughts:
-Work together, you are not alone in wanting to fight for change
-Creating more diverse environments will help combat sexism
-Acknowledge all forms of seemingly mundane “normal” everyday incidences of bias, sexism,
-Invite men into the discussion; allow for them to tell their story of harassment and dismantle certain ideas of masculinity
-Help generate policy change at institutional level. We need working systems

Why Chinese Medicine?

“2,500 years old, Chinese medicine is beautifully crafted.”

As a patient, I often feel frustrated with the health care system, receiving impersonal and incomplete care. I feel I lack options; and the options I am given are often too intense, too invasive, or just symptomatic. I am sure I am not alone in these feelings.

I see Chinese medicine, not just as a complementary medicine, but as a whole and holistic medicine. 2,500 years old, Chinese medicine is beautifully crafted, in that it addresses your whole body. It takes everything into account. No system is separate from another; everything is connected.

My goal is to offer an inviting space to heal safely, holistically, and sustainably. Changes can be small and slow and set to your pace, but I assure you, all will be effective.
