Are you stressing over your kid's last summer at home? You're not alone. Here's what every parent needs to hear...
Drop a ❤️ if you're feeling the emotional rollercoaster of these last summer days!
Parents, it’s normal to feel nostalgic, anxious, or overwhelmed. This summer is a mix of bittersweet moments — and that’s okay. The key is balance: savor the good, prepare for the transition, and cut yourself some slack.
Take time to teach life skills like laundry and bill paying — it’ll pay off in the end. Expect mood swings, crabby moments, even some pushing away. That’s all part of the process, not a sign you’re doing it wrong. The best gift? Giving space and respecting their need to process.
And remember — this isn’t about perfection. It’s about being present, not perfect. Your kid will remember how you navigated this summer more than any grand gesture.
Think ahead for drop-off day. Planning makes the last few days less stressful — for both of you.
Worth thinking about.
What’s your biggest challenge this summer? Drop a comment or tag a fellow parent.
