Why is meditation such an important practice for me?
At a time when my body was still suffering from DIS-ease and I spent most of my time in bed, meditation found me.
I had been meditation for a good 10 years already, but never consistently and not with purpose or true intent. I was mostly just going through the motions.
When it called to me again, I was at a point where I was determined to unlock my bodies innate abilities to heal itself.
I was limited in what my body allowed me to do, but meditation did not ask anything of me physically.
Only that I turned inward and become commander of my own thoughts.
After learning that our thoughts, feelings and beliefs not only shape our realities, but majorly impact our health and well-being, meditation became the doorway through which I began to reshape my own mind.
It was the looking glass through which I was able to witness my inner dialogues and feelings towards myself.
Slowly but surely I used meditation to rewire and reprogram my mind.
And as I did, I reprogrammed my entire body. β¨οΈ
I still meditate daily, to maintain the homeostasis of mind and body, and keep gaining greater and and greater health and wellness.
It's a powerful practice that can be utilized for almost all aspects of healing and maintaining the self.
Join me, October 20th, for my half day event BETWIXT: Dancing with Light and Shadow
Where I'll be taking you through one of my guided meditation practices of connecting with your inner wisdom.
We will be traveling through our minds, and finding those non-serving aspects of self that have been weighing us down, and energetically laying them down to lighten our load as we move into the darker half of the year.
This has been a potent practice for me each year at this time, and I'm so honored to be able to now share it with all who attend. π
