New Jersey Self Advocacy Project

New Jersey Self Advocacy Project New Jersey Self-Advocacy Program, a program of The Arc of New Jersey since 1983, provides statewide support for self-advocates in NJ. https://linktr.ee/NJSAP

The New Jersey Self Advocacy Program works toward accomplishing its objectives in a variety of ways, such as educating the State administration and legislators regarding issues of importance to people with disabilities, conducting presentations to community groups and conference audiences, planning and implementing leadership seminars, establishing and supporting self-advocacy groups and helping them conduct various activities, working on cooperative projects such as fundraising for community service organizations. The New Jersey Self-Advocacy Program is committed to assisting individuals with intellectual and related developmental disabilities to become involved in self-advocacy as a means of supporting positive change on both a personal and social level.

We created a new campaign to welcome Gov. Sherrill into office and let her know about our programs and advocates! We have several ways that you and your chapter can participate!
You can:
-Email or 'snail mail' a letter
-Post a generic graphic to social media
-Add an image of an individual into our photo template and post it online
-Add an image of a group with your chapter logo on social media.

We have scripts written up for the letters and for social media to make things as easy as possible.

We want to create a working relationship with the new Governor and let her know about all of the amazing work The Arc of NJ, Local Arc Chapters, and the Advocacy groups do in New Jersey!

You will find all of the templates, along with information about the campaign here:
