Woman want to be full authority over their pregnancy and birth(as they should be.) However, they also need to hold themselves accountable for the reaction of being in full authorityšŸ‘

I donā€™t think everyone is ready for this conversation. If you want full authority you have to understand that means holding yourself accountable for those choices and decisions and not pushing it off on to someone else.

Hereā€™s your reminder that choosing a birth team that is going to respect that youā€™re the full authority of your body and your baby, is a MUST! You shouldnā€™t feel pressured into doing ANYTHING you donā€™t want to do !

Donā€™t just hire a birth team because theyā€™re more affordable, most midwives will work with you to make it more affordable!

Donā€™t just hire the first midwife you speak to.

Donā€™t just hire anyone, make sure your views align.

Make sure theyā€™re going to respect your choices, and support you through them

Things people donā€™t think about when it comes to caring for pregnant women. Itā€™s not always the way we pray it to be. Sometimes moms lose babies, sometimes women donā€™t get the birth they worked so hard for. Sometimes thereā€™s complications. Serving women in this capacity is a mentally and emotionally taxing job. Wouldnā€™t trade it for the world, but the hard parts of this job donā€™t get talked about enough.

If you didnā€™t know, I have unique experience when it comes to being a midwife. Iā€™ve had two free births, due to lack of traditional midwives. Due to not feeling there was anyone around me who could offer me what I wanted, what I deserved. After my first free birth, I knew women deserved better than birthing completely alone to avoid being sabotaged!

So I decided to become the midwife I wish I could have had at my own births. Freebirth is a safe good option for those who want it, but women should have a safe midwife or birth attendant to hold them, and guide them through their journey without worry of their power, autonomy, and intuition being stolen from them
