Some things are so normalized… we forget to question them. 🚩

April is Sexual Assault Awareness & Prevention Month—and prevention doesn’t just start with big conversations🩵
It starts by unlearning the subtle behaviors we’ve been taught to accept.

Things like:
• Pushing after a “no” 🙂‍↔️
• Guilt-tripping for intimacy 🙏
• Ignoring body language 🚩
• Assuming consent in relationships 👩🏼‍❤️‍👨🏽

❌These aren’t just “misunderstandings”—they’re part of a culture that blurs boundaries.

Prevention = awareness + accountability + everyday change 👌🏼

When we start noticing what’s been normalized, we create space for:
✨ Clearer communication
✨ Safer relationships
✨ Real consent (freely given, not pressured)

If it involves pressure, guilt, or confusion… it’s not consent.

💬 Which one have you seen normalized the most?

🧠 Epilepsy is more than seizures—and this the mental health impact deserves attention too 💜

What many people don’t see is the emotional toll that can come with living with epilepsy every single day:

💭 The fear of when the next seizure might happen
💔 Feelings of isolation or being misunderstood
😔 Negative effects on identity formation
⚡ Emotional and physical exhaustion

For many, it’s not just about managing symptoms—it’s about navigating uncertainty, confidence, and safety in a world that doesn’t always understand.

But protective factors matter 💛
✨ Supportive relationships
✨ Access to both medical and mental health care
✨ Education and understanding
✨ Safe spaces to process emotions

If you or someone you love is living with epilepsy, know this:
👉 Your mental health matters just as much as your physical health
👉 You deserve support, compassion, and understanding

⏰ Feeling off after the clocks “spring forward”? You’re not imagining it.

Losing just one hour of sleep during Daylight Saving Time can affect more than your morning routine. It can disrupt your body’s circadian rhythm, which plays a big role in mood, energy, and focus.

Some common mental health effects people notice this week:
😴 Increased fatigue or brain fog
😣 Irritability or mood changes
🧠 Difficulty concentrating
🌙 Trouble falling asleep at night
😔 Temporary dips in mood or motivation

Our brains thrive on consistent sleep and light patterns, so even a small shift can take a few days to adjust.

A few ways to support your mental health this week:
🌞 Get sunlight early in the day
🚶 Move your body (even a short walk helps)
📵 Limit screens before bed
☕ Be mindful of late-day caffeine
🛌 Give yourself permission to rest and adjust

If you’re feeling a little off this week, be gentle with yourself. Your brain is simply recalibrating. 💛

📌 Save this post if the time change affects you every year, and share it with someone who’s feeling extra tired this week.

Boundaries aren’t about controlling other people.
They’re about protecting your peace. 🧠✨

A lot of people avoid setting boundaries because they worry about:
• disappointing others
• seeming “selfish”
• creating conflict
• being misunderstood

But the truth is: boundaries are a form of self-respect.

Healthy boundaries can look like:
✔ saying no without over-explaining
✔ protecting your time and energy
✔ not answering every text immediately
✔ choosing distance from relationships that drain you

The people who benefit from you having no boundaries will often be the ones who push back the hardest when you start setting them.

That doesn’t mean your boundary is wrong. 💬

Save this as a reminder:
You’re allowed to protect your energy 💪
