Our Yoga classes provide movement for health and relaxation, and are designed to promote greater self-awareness and inner peace. At The Yoga Place & Yoga Central, we offer a full spectrum of programming to improve strength, flexibility, and posture. But more importantly, Yoga is a holistic and spiritual practice where we work on integration of the mind, body, and spirit. We provide a safe haven to pursue personal development, or to simply relax and experience the joy of Yoga. Don't limit your ideas about Yoga - the joy of Yoga shines brighter when we allow it to be many things. Yoga is balance, health, relaxation, transformation, community, the opening of new possibilities, and so much more. This is why we offer a wide variety of peaceful activities in addition to our movement classes, such as retreats, walks, special events, art shows, musical performances, sound healings, and educational lectures. When you walk through our doors, you will not only find all styles and levels of Yoga classes, but also a warm and welcoming community of students, staff, and teachers. We offer acceptance, encouragement, compassion, a sense of adventure, and reverence for what each individual can accomplish. Specialty classes are available for beginners, children, athletes, seniors, pregnancy, and people in need of rehabilitation. We are known for providing a safe, inclusive, and non-competitive environment with experienced & skillful instructors. We believe that everyone should have access to Yoga. One of the most beautiful architectural wonders of Medieval Europe is the Alhambra in Granada. It is a palace, a fortress, a maze, a work of art and the many fountains are intended to be mesmerizing and induce calm, peace and a meditative state. It left an indelible impression on me when I was there in l985. We are going there as part of our activities during our yoga retreat to Spain, March 29 to April 4. We are always excited about sharing yoga, and we have specialty classes for beginners, children, athletes, seniors, pregnancy, and people in need of rehabilitation.
