Palmetto Cremation Society is a family run and operated cremation provider that has been serving the local area for more than 37 years. The crematory is the first of its kind in Tri-County. Since 1982, the team has built a solid reputation of trust. The staff is focused on caring for the needs of each family, including preplanning support and post-cremation support. Every event receives undivided attention from the funeral and cremation team, ensuring a personalized experience through the planning stages. As Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (CFSP), Palmetto Cremation Society specializes in cremation services specifically. The team offers a full-service approach for cremation planning, including a licensed funeral chapel if the family would like to hold a gathering with loved ones. Every family receives a personalized approach for funeral and cremation support, including unique traditions or services that should be included in the plan. Celebrations of life services and memorial services can be arranged as desired. Available options through Palmetto Cremation Society include low-cost traditional earth burials, memorial items, the shipment of human remains, transportation services, embalming, and cremation. Preplanning can be arranged with the staff to ensure the cremation details are prepared for the future. Military honors and Veterans Services can also be arranged as needed. A Nine-Step Identification Process is used in the cremation tracking system to ensure the highest levels of care for every person. After the cremation is complete, the cremated remains can be forwarded to any location. Palmetto Cremation Society has an office that serves all of the surrounding communities: North Charleston, Ladson, Hanahan, Goose Creek, Summerville, West Ashley, and more. The cremation team is a proud member of the Cremation Association of North America. The cremation packages include everything needed for a quality, respectful event, including all necessary permits and paperwork. The staff can assist with death certificate coordination after the cremation is finished.
