It seems too often we place
our happiness in another’s hands.
Especially when it comes to love.
Then we become upset,
sad,
angry,
[insert the emotion here],
when the one we love the most
takes their love away…
And they no longer choose us.
But have you, been choosing you?
As an empath we tend to give so much
that our loving cup runs dry often
And it’s true, you can’t pour anything
from an empty cup.
But what is dried up in the cup may
come out instead
in the form of resentment,
bitterness,
and even withholding love.
You see the empath overgiving,
over loving,
and oversharing,
wanting to be wanted
And you see the narcissist taking,
using,
wanting to control,
The truth is, love is not controlled.
But another can be.
Love is a soft, warm blowing breeze
It’s free,
it dances,
it plays,
it flows,
It has no desire to put you in a cage
And tame you.
Yet too often than not
empaths who haven’t found their
self-worth yet
make someone else responsible
for their happiness.
The narcissist loves this.
They love having control of your emotions.
As sad as it is, they actually thrive on this.
But guess what?
You can take your power back and
work on the
Self-worth/love that is cultivated
from within
by
*following what makes your soul happy
*knowing your love, magic,
truth is unlike anyone else’s
*having boundaries
*learning to say ‘no’
*living for YOU first (in a selfless way)
*trusting that what’s meant to be will be.
You can’t take away love
because love is energy.
But you can change who you share it with.
The love that you see within the one
you are admiring
Is all your love.
If you’ve been broken,
Don’t build walls around your heart
because someone unworthy of you
couldn’t see your
magnificence. ♥️
