Our practice is expanding and needs an experienced Medical Receptionist who can join the team preforming administrative duties involved with coordinating patient and physician schedules through EMR scheduling, multi-line phone management, and office organization.

We’re looking for a professional who believes that patients should be treated as family and has a strong customer service skills and proven work ethic. The job includes significant amounts of multi-tasking, but the ideal candidate will know when to slow down, look patients in the eye and provide personalized service. There are a few advancement opportunities for the successful applicant.

Responsibilities include:
•Answer multi-line phones and either direct the caller to the appropriate party or handle the caller’s needs
•Greet patients upon arrival, sign them in and obtain insurance information and any other necessary data
•Provide patients with intake and new patient forms as well as copies of our office policies and legally required documents
•Process payments from patients for co-pays and uninsured visits
•Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on Physicians and PA availability
•Verify and knowledge of health insurance benefits
•Maintain and organize files stored in our EHR
•Call patients to remind them of upcoming appointments and to help them schedule testing and surgeries.
•Provide patients with support and guidance as needed
•Be able to multitask

We are looking for a full-time in-office Medical Billing Assistant.

Job Purpose:
Generates revenue by reducing A/R; making payment arrangements; collecting accounts; monitoring and pursuing delinquent accounts; point of contact for patient inquires; generalized support to the Billing Manager

Duties:

-Prepare Daily Deposit
-Post insurance checks and make necessary adjustments based on EOPs
-Understand CPT Codes and modifiers and be able to apply knowledge appropriately
-Point of contact for patients in office and on the phone in regards to their bills or any insurance questions
-Process and track insurance appeals, preauthorization, and claims
-Work a charges A/R report monthly

Skills/Qualifications:
Excellent Communication, Documenting Skills Time Management, Organization, Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Insurance knowledge, General Math Skills, Conflict Resolution, Good Phone Skills, Ability to Work Independently
