We’re excited to celebrate Ardrica’s incredible rehabilitation journey! 🌟

When she first arrived at Life Care Center of Charleston, rheumatoid arthritis made walking impossible and daily tasks a real challenge. With determination and the support of our dedicated physical and occupational therapy teams, Ardrica is now walking with a walker, managing her hygiene independently, and only needs a little supervision for dressing and getting in and out of bed. 💪

Her progress is a true testament to the power of perseverance and compassionate care. As Ardrica shared, “The therapy team is truly amazing.”

What does Occupational Therapy look like❓

It looks like someone practicing how to button a shirt again. 👔 Rebuilding the strength and dexterity to hold a coffee cup. ☕ Rehearsing the motions to prepare a simple meal and learning to use a reacher to safely pick things up without bending 🫳.

During Occupational Therapy Month, we’re celebrating the amazing therapists who help our rehab patients rebuild confidence, independence, and the skills that make daily life meaningful. 🫶

We had a wonderful time at the Charleston County Senior Expo! 💙 It was a great opportunity to share the Continuum of Care between The Bridge at Charleston and Life Care Center of Charleston, and connect with members of our community. 🤝 We enjoyed educating attendees on Medicare benefits that cover inpatient skilled nursing and rehabilitation, while also showcasing our beautiful campus and the services we proudly offer. We’re always grateful for the chance to support and serve our community! 🫂

Let’s celebrate Beckie’s amazing progress! 🎉

When Beckie arrived, she needed lots of help with walking, dressing, and daily activities. Thanks to her hard work and our therapy team, she’s now dressing herself and moving with much more independence! 😀

Beckie says, "You have always been so kind to me. You got me up and running, always right there to help and get me back home. They are not just therapists — they are friends. I love you all!" 💗
