Most of us weren’t taught what emotions actually mean.
We were taught which ones were acceptable.

Anger got labeled “too much.”
Sadness got labeled “weak.”
Anxiety got labeled “dramatic.”
Shame got labeled “truth.”

Emotions are signals about needs, values, safety, connection, and boundaries.

Understanding them changes everything.

Healing doesn’t always look productive from the outside.

Sometimes it looks like resting more.
Sometimes it looks like pulling back from people.
Sometimes it looks like noticing patterns you can’t ignore anymore.
Sometimes it looks like grief.

A lot of healing happens quietly - inside your nervous system, inside your boundaries, and inside the way you start responding differently to things that used to overwhelm you.

Progress isn’t always visible. But it still counts.

Challenging your thoughts doesn’t mean convincing yourself everything is fine when it isn’t.

It’s not about forcing positivity.
It’s not about ignoring your intuition.
And it’s definitely not about telling yourself your feelings are “dramatic” or “too much.”

The goal isn’t to silence yourself.
It’s to get curious about what your mind is trying to protect you from.

You can validate your feelings and question the story your anxiety is telling at the same time. Both can be true.

Where’s your battery at today?

Fully charged, running on fumes, or somewhere in between… no judgment, just awareness. So many of us are stuck in “functioning” mode while quietly feeling overworked, depleted, or burnt out.

If your energy is low, that’s not a personal failure, it’s information. Maybe today isn’t about pushing harder, but about pacing, pausing, or giving yourself something back.

Check in with yourself:
What do I actually have capacity for today?
What can wait?
What might help me recharge, even a little?

If you’ve ever felt like your relationship keeps having the same fight on repeat… this might be why.

The anxious–avoidant cycle isn’t about one person being “too much” and the other being “too distant.”
It’s what happens when two nervous systems are trying to feel safe in opposite ways.

One reaches for connection to calm the fear.
The other reaches for space to calm the overwhelm.

And without realizing it, both people end up triggering the exact thing the other is most afraid of.

This cycle can feel exhausting, confusing, and honestly… really personal.
But it’s not a failure - it’s a pattern. And patterns can be understood, softened, and changed.

Awareness is the first step.
Noticing what’s happening in the moment is where things start to shift.

You’re not “too much.”
You’re not “too distant.”
There’s just more underneath that deserves understanding.

Save this for when you need the reminder - or send it to someone who’s trying to understand you better.

A lot of people imagine therapy as quick advice, positive thinking, or someone analyzing your childhood for an hour.

In reality, it’s usually slower and deeper than that.

It’s noticing patterns you didn’t realize were there.
It’s practicing new ways to respond instead of reacting automatically.
It’s saying things out loud that you’ve carried alone for a long time.

Sometimes it’s hard.
Sometimes it’s messy.
But over time, it can help you understand yourself in ways that make life feel a little more manageable.

Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you.
It’s about helping you make sense of your experiences and building skills that support the life you want.

Something many of us never have to think twice about is a real barrier for many people in our community.

This local organization is currently looking for urgent donations and people willing to host packing parties & product drives.

Another day, another plea for packing parties!

As you can see, our bin of community packs is empty and the school bin is not far off

We did not have enough community packs to fulfill orders for March, and at this point, will not be able to offer any deliveries for April (this has never happened before!)

Additionally, our supplies are depleted, so much so that we are even low on tampons iykyk!
