Life Rhythm Music Therapy helps kids grow & develop through music. We use evidence-based music interventions to help achieve developmental goals through Music Therapy & Music Lessons. Music Therapy is a health care profession much like speech, physical and occupational therapy. Where other therapies usually address one goal area at a time, Music Therapy can address multiple goals in each evidence-
based, therapeutic music intervention, increasing the value of our service. Music Therapists are nationally board-certified, held to strict standards of practice and ethics code, and the profession of Music Therapy is grounded by years of supportive research. During each session, we use music interventions to work on non-musical goals including:
* Improving social skills, communication skills, motor skills
* Increasing cognitive skills, academic skills
* Decreasing negative behaviors, regulating emotions, expressing feelings
* Maintaining and promoting wellness

Following a referral and formal assessment, goals and objectives are tailored to each client's needs and determined with existing IEP goals in mind. Sessions involve clinical music interventions used to work towards progress of individualized goals and objectives. Music selections as well as music making experiences are modified for client preferences and needs. Sessions are documented in a treatment plan and delivered in accordance with standards of practice. Data is collected to show results towards each client's goals, and quarterly reports are provided.
