✨ We’re honored to share that our founder and CEO, Anna McChesney, LPC, MT-BC, was recently featured by NAWBO!

Her article, “Building a Support System: The Role of Community, Creativity and Connection,” explores how creativity and human connection form the foundation for resilience and healing—both in life and in business.

At The Center for Creative Healing, we see this truth every day: growth doesn’t happen in isolation. It happens through collaboration, compassion, and creative expression.

Anna is also a proud member of NAWBO Richmond , a vibrant community of women business leaders in Virginia who support and inspire one another to grow.

Read the full article on the NAWBO National website and join us in celebrating this incredible recognition for our community.

📍 Big move for RVA mental health: Our Midlothian location is officially locally and woman-owned. After years of leasing, we now own the space and we’re transforming it into a healing hub for Chesterfield and beyond.

Here’s a look at some of our renovations at 830 Southlake Boulevard from new carpet, to refreshed office spaces, with even more upgrades on the way. Our goal is that the building reflects our mission: inclusive, expressive, trauma-informed care for all.

P.S. We have a space available to rent in the building! Reach out today if you’re interested in being part of our hub.

The caregivers at Nest Academy RVA know the impact of music therapy best.
For them, these monthly sessions with the Center for Creative Healing are more than music, they’re a lifeline.

Families shared how their loved ones light up when they sing, clap, or play instruments with Raven Bransom, MT-BC. They described Nest as a safe place, a community, and a source of real friendships.

This partnership is about more than programming. It’s about hope, joy, and connection for both young adults and their caregivers.

Read their words in the carousel and see the heart behind the music.
