Sophia Rintell, a 3rd year student in the Clinical Psychology PhD program, was recently selected as a finalist for the Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) Competition. Sophia will compete with several other finalists for the top prize at the Society of Pediatric Psychology's Annual Conference this April.

The 3MT® Competition is an academic competition that challenges graduate students to explain complex research findings and their implications to a non-specialist audience, and to do it in just three minutes, using a single slide.

The Class of 2027 Pathologists' Assistant first-year students recently hosted a “De-Stress and Manifest” wellness event designed to provide a supportive space for relaxation, reflection, and connection during a busy point in the academic quarter. The gathering offered an opportunity for students to step away from their rigorous coursework and focus on personal well-being, creativity, and community building.

The students created vision boards that highlighted both personal and professional goals, encouraging mindfulness and planning for the months ahead. The activity fostered positive conversation, peer support, and a shared sense of motivation as students discussed aspirations and strategies for maintaining balance throughout the semester.

Events like this reflect our students’ commitment not only to academic excellence but also to wellness, resilience, and community engagement. The “De-Stress and Manifest” event served as a meaningful reminder of the importance of taking time to recharge, support peers, and set intentions for continued success both inside and outside the classroom.
