I assist with relaxation, pain relief, increased range of motion, general health, blood circulation, respiration, digestion. Substantiation for the efficacy of massage has become increasingly available. Most research focuses on the physiological effects of massage, for example: lymphatic flow, blood circulation and muscle function. I use and eclectic approach to treatment of clients, taking indiv

idual needs into consideration and facilitate the relationship between the manipulation of tissues and body systems. I use energy work, palpation, various clinical, Swedish, Acupressure, and Trigger Point techniques and a few techniques borrowed from other good therapists.

Daily exercise, a healthy diet rich in nutrients,sufficient sleep, and mental stimulation can promote brain plasticity and potentially impact hevin expression.

Exercise: Regular physical activity, especially aerobic exercise, increases blood flow to the brain, potentially influencing hevin levels.
Exercise: promotes the growth of new neurons and increases brain-derived neurotrophic factor, a protein that supports brain health.

Eat your veggies, fruits, grains and omega 3s: flavonoids (found in berries and some vegetables) and omega-3 fatty acids may have neuroprotective effects
Read and learn new skills. Playing an instrument and doing puzzles are examples.

SLEEP

Manage stress with mindfulness and meditation which can be paired with exercise!

SHIN SPLINTS-cause pain along the shin bone and It will often affect runners, dancers and military recruits due to the continual impact particularly on hard surfaces or uneven terrain but can also be caused by weakness in the stabilizing muscles of the hips and core or if you have flat feet or high arches.

Shin splints- treat with rest, ice (20-30 minutes every 3 to 4 hours over a 2 to 3 day period) and other self-care measures like anti-inflammatory pain killers but obviously you need to take advice from a professional before beginning any form of medication-it can take months to heal but if you are patient you will recover with proper rest.

Seek professional advice for correct diagnosis, as the pain could also be from a stress fracture.
