Trauma is not just something that happened to you in the past. It's that something in the past that has continued to live with you and continues every day. And it can and does come in the forms mentioned below and more. The good news is, we can heal from trauma. The brains ability to change and rewire itself in response to learning brings great promise to those living with PTSD and C-PTSD symptoms. This is why I prefer a trauma-informed approach to therapy.
