Our residents enjoyed a truly enriching Holistic Health experience led by our Resident Engagement Director, Kim, who shared an engaging look into the history of holistic health and the many ways a whole-person approach supports overall well-being.

The afternoon of learning gently transitioned into relaxation with a sound bowl meditation and guided imagery session, inviting everyone to unwind and be present. We then gathered for a healthy happy hour featuring refreshing mango yogurt parfaits and blueberry banana smoothies. To wrap up this restorative experience, our Engagement Team provided aromatherapy along with soothing shoulder and neck massages – leaving residents feeling relaxed, refreshed, and recharged!

We had the best time at the Sharon Council on Aging thanks to Chef Lauren! She treated everyone to a delicious cooking demonstration featuring shrimp penne vodka – complete with helpful tips, lots of laughs, and her signature sense of humor. The room was filled with great conversation, big smiles, and even better food. Thank you to the Sharon COA for such a warm welcome and a truly wonderful afternoon!

Our Cooking club enjoyed making eggroll wrapper bananas foster with Chef Amarr! We used eggroll wrappers, bananas, coconut flakes, homemade caramel, strawberries, and chocolate chips to make this tasty treat!

Latte & Literature was a truly special afternoon as we welcomed local author Meredith O’Brien for a lively and engaging discussion. Our residents enjoyed thoughtful conversation and shared reflections before winding down with homemade iced lattes, delicate macaroons, and the soft sounds of light jazz in the background. Our residents had a blast playing our very own Price Is Right–style game, guessing the prices of everyday items purchased from Target! From laughter and friendly competition to plenty of “oohs” and “ahhs,” it was such a fun way to spark memories and smiles. There’s nothing better than good company, a little suspense, and lots of joy shared together!
