Happy Picnic in the Park Day! We celebrated by taking a trip to Publix to buy some goodies and then went to a beautiful waterfront park to eat, drink and have a great time.

The residents and staff had an amazing time celebrating our Opal Director Bobby with our Black & White Garden Party! Bobby makes every room he walks into better and lights it up with his amazing charm and sensational personality! We are truly grateful to have him. He brought all of his resin and showed the residents how to create stunning art pieces and will be doing a class each month to keep it going. A huge shoutout to our new Culinary Manager Julie for putting together the awesome appetizers, they were perfection.

Studies show that seniors participating in intergenerational programs experience better mental health, reduced stress, and increased physical activity.

We had our monthly visit with the amazing kids and moms from Family Connection doing crafts and story time. Followed by the awesome teenagers from a local Bible school singing and playing bingo.

Creating Positive Moments!

Even when the person doesn't retain the memory of a specific conversation, creating pleasant interactions and moments is rewarding for the resident and staff! Look at her smile!
Our Opal Director Bobby has tried for months to get her to dance and she always told him"NO"... after many months today she said "Yes" it was priceless and the smile on her face says it all. Never underestimate what one minute of your time can do to change someone’s day.

Thank you so much to those who came out to support our Lemonade Stand for the Alzheimer’s Longest Day of the Year event. We raised $50 and the residents had the best time dancing and interacting with the people.

Today was National Fudge Day, we used two different methods to make them and today was also the start to Caregivers week! The theme today was PJ’s to which the staff and residents did not disappoint ❤️😴

Wishing all the dads out there a very Happy Fathers Day! We had some extra special visitors come through with a lemonade mobile stand for all the residents at lunch today. Thank you to Carley for having the cutest little helpers that are so thoughtful and brightened everyone’s day.
