Our mission empowers people of all ages living with a visual impairment or blindness to remain independent, active and productive in our society.

Full service non profit vision rehabiliation center that serves all of Lee, Hendry and Glades Counties. Over 50 rehabilitation and support programs are offered at NO charge. Highly trained, certified and degreed staff are on board to assist with all vision rehabilitation needs.

While our amazing teens are having a blast at summer camp—showcasing their musical talents, designing video games, performing skits, volunteering at local food pantries, and learning new life skills—our adventurous gnome friends, Light and House, are on their own summer journey!

They’ve made their way to Glacier National Park and all the way to Banff, Canada —proving that with confidence, courage, and your white cane, anything is possible.

Here’s to pushing limits, exploring the world, and seeing all the possibilities that lie ahead!

Summer Fun & Gnome Adventures!

Our amazing teens are having a blast with summer camp activities building friendships, learning new skills, and making unforgettable memories! From art and games to field trips and team-building, this week is all about confidence, independence, and FUN! Our friends from LCSO stopped by with their K9. The teens loved learning all of the special talents of their new furry friend.

Meanwhile, our Lighthouse Traveling Gnomes are spreading awareness far and wide about vision loss and the incredible abilities of our clients. They’ve already visited Yellowstone and are making stops at other exciting destinations across the country. Follow their journey and help us raise awareness for blindness and low vision!

Happy 4th of July weekend from Lighthouse of Southwest Florida. Our friends Light and House had some adventures sliding down the sand dunes at Great Sand Dunes Park in Colorado. They then enjoyed camping in the cool weather and gazing at stars.
