Our Story

The Farm Studio is nestled on a scenic organic farm in the Connecticut River Valley of New Hampshire. The farm offers picturesque views of nearby mountains, hills, pasture, and a herd of Scottish Highland cows (plus a plethora of other farm creatures!) The practice space is 1000 square feet of meticulously renovated barn that is over 150 years old and holds historic significance. Carolyn Smith E-RYT500 is registered with Yoga Alliance as an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT) at the 500 hour level. She has over 2000 hours of teaching and over 800 hours of training in yoga & meditation. She is presently working towards her Master Yoga Teacher certification through Kripalu (1000 hours) and her Integrated Positional Therapist (IPT) Certification. In her class you will experience functional Vinyasa yoga that is alignment-based and anatomy inspired. She seamlessly weaves posture with the breath, uses current body science to support the ancient practice of yoga, and offers a focus of mindfulness and meditation from beginning to end. She believes your yoga should feel good, be functional and sustainable. Carolyn's classes are accessible and she encourages you to practice at your own level and present experience.
