"How to Consume News Media While Protecting Your Peace". Reading this statement in today's climate may seem contradictory. However, we at The Living Room can assure you that it is indeed possible! This series is designed to educate communities on how to remain informed about current events while safeguarding and nurturing mental wellness. Please feel free to like and share!

Let's treat news media consumption in a manner that honors our mental wellness! There's an increasing normalization of the idea that one must chose between consuming latest news updates; OR disengage in an effort to prioritize ones peace. The Living Room Is here to remind you that this does not have to be the case for everyone. This short video, curtesy our very own Autumn Asters , will provide tips and tricks to help you find a balance.

We're reaching out to share an important opportunity that could make a real difference in the lives of many in our community.

Sacramento County Public Defender’s Office is hosting a Free Record Expungement Clinic on July 14, 2025, from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Molina One Stop Help Center (6075 Florin Rd, Suite 200).

This clinic will provide guidance on clearing criminal records—a powerful step toward better access to jobs, housing, and stability. It’s open to the public and completely free.

Please help us spread the word to anyone who may benefit or to organizations that serve impacted individuals. Every cleared record is a second chance—and a stronger community for all of us.
