We have our first book recommendation for 2026: More Than Words: How Talking Sharpens the Mind and Shapes Our World Hardcover by Maryellen MacDonald. Looking for a local way to kick off the holidays in Studio City?

The Tujunga Village Holiday Block Party is back on Saturday, December 6, from 5 PM to 9 PM. Tujunga Avenue between Moorpark and Woodbridge will be closed to cars and turned into a festive street fair with shops, restaurants and neighbors out enjoying the night.

Expect kids activities, Santa, a live DJ, music and plenty of chances to shop, dine and stroll under the lights. It is an easy walk from the neighborhood and a great way to support local businesses while getting into the holiday spirit.
