Día de los Mu***os is an ancient Mexican tradition, a celebration of love that transcends death. It’s a time to remember with joy, to speak their names, and to honor the souls who walked before us with offerings, flowers, and light. 🌼

This soundbath is an offering of vibration and remembrance..a space to connect through sound, breath, and gratitude with those who continue to guide us from beyond the visible.

As the crystal bowls, gong, and chimes weave through the room, may each note become a whisper of love,
a heartbeat of memory,
a reminder that connection never fades, it transforms.

🌿What’s a cacao ceremony ?

A cacao ceremony is a sacred ritual that uses ceremonial-grade cacao (pure, minimally processed cacao, different from commercial chocolate) as a heart-opening plant medicine. Karen Russell, the heart and soul behind Yoga NoHo, has been practicing yoga for over 40 years and teaching for 35. She is not only the owner of the studio, but a senior yoga teacher and a guiding light who has been leading teacher trainings for over 25 years.👏🏻

Her presence is rooted in deep wisdom, fierce dedication, and a genuine love for the practice. She has touched countless lives : not just by teaching postures, but by teaching people how to live with more awareness, compassion, and grace.

To witness her teach is to witness the embodiment of yoga itself. To know her is to know strength, humility, and unwavering heart.

This week, she joined the hilarious and kind-hearted Nick Nayersina for a joyful day of connection, laughter, and unforgettable moments with the amazing residents of the Retirement House.

Being part of this community means showing up with love — and Karen does just that, time and time again.

Next weekend marks the final weekend of our current 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, and our students will be taking their final test! 👏🏻🙌🏻

We’re beyond proud of how far they’ve come — not just in asanas and anatomy, but in self-discovery, growth, and the deepening of their personal practice.🪷

It’s always an honor to witness this transformation, and we feel incredibly grateful to have been offering Yoga Teacher Trainings for the past 20 years. Each group reminds us why we do this work: to share the ancient wisdom of yoga, to hold space for healing, and to help others step into their power — on and off the mat. 🫶🧘🏻‍♀️🙏🏻✨
