She was the former owner and visionary of The Herb Wyfe in Wickford for 16 years, has led numerous long term herbal programs and workshops around RI and New England, and created Earth & Ocean Wellness Center in 2000. She brings her many years of experience into one-on- one wellness consultations, as well as the treatment room, providing a strong base of wellness modalities to her clients. Beginning Spring of 2026...A limited number of private one on one, and semi private, mentorships are being offering. These will be available in six week commitments, biweekly two hour sessions. Mentorships can be co created with focus on sustainable foraging, medicine making, plant energetics or other topics of interest.

ABOUT SUSAN CLEMENTS - Susan's herbal career began in 1988 when she opened The Herb Wyfe in Wickford, RI. She offered herbal apprentice programs beginning in 1991 (the second of Rosemary Gladstar's students in the US to do this). In 2000 Earth & Ocean was created as an adjunct to The Herb Wyfe .
She was drawn to wild plants as a child and ultimately they led her to bring their green journey to her community,. They, along with many students, have been her greatest teachers.

Her journey led to amazing teachers, deepening the plant connection. Additional teachers helped fill her wellness bag with tools including energy work, aromatherapy and holistic skin care. She also worked closely with indigenous healers in Belize for five years learning their healing ways and plants.

She is former educator for Herb Pharm and MyChelle Dermaceuticals, is a holistic esthetician and reflexologist.

As we transition out of winter, our skin is ready to shed the heaviness and come back to life. Dryness, dullness, and congestion can linger, which is why a gentle, holistic reset can make all the difference.

Here’s how to support your skin naturally this season:

✨ **Refresh with a seasonal facial**
A customized facial helps to deeply cleanse, exfoliate, and rebalance the skin after winter buildup—stimulating circulation and encouraging a natural glow.

🌸 **Shift your ingredients (this is key!)**
Spring calls for lighter, more active botanicals that *awaken* the skin without overwhelming it:

Winter...spinning dreams...spring... looking ahead to new growth and manifestation...

After many years rooted deeply in herbal practice and botanical formulation, Earth & Ocean is entering a refined and intentional new phase.

Herbal wisdom remains the foundation of my work. It continues to guide every formulation in my ORABELLE BOTANICALS line and every customized treatment I offer.

At this stage, I am placing greater emphasis on restorative facials, reflexology, and nervous-system-centered skincare in my studio - creating unhurried, personalized sessions that support both skin health and overall well-being.

In March, I will be completing certification in Facial Gua Sha Mastery, adding another gentle technique to enhance circulation, lymphatic flow and vitality within my treatments.

You will see updated services, a refreshed website, seasonal market appearances, and ongoing educational posts designed to help you care for your skin and wellness in a thoughtful, balanced way.

In addition to client care, I continue to offer private herbal mentorship, consulting, and teaching opportunities for those seeking deeper study or professional guidance.

This is not a departure from herbalism - it is a refinement of how that foundation expresses itself today.

Blessings of the Winter Solstice! My ancestors were people of the land. The passing of this point on the wheel, celebrating the return of the sun, was critically important. It insured that the land would warm again, crops would grow and animals would be tended. They relied on the Earth for sustenance and survival. Standing on high mountain tops, they lit fires at sun rise, while at Newgrange in Co Meath, Ireland, the sunrise flooded a corridor, reflecting on a stone marking the exact moment of the Winter Solstice.

The Solstice marks a time when the sun stands still for three days. It’s a time of reflection, hope, and joyful celebration knowing that the sun is returning, the plants will flourish in months ahead and warm days lie ahead.

May this passage bring you peaceful thoughts and dreams of what you wish to bring life to in the months ahead. Solstice Blessings and welcome back sun!🌞💫🌟
