We gotta protect your bubble at all costs. And one of the easiest ways to do that is by just not taking in horror stories. You do not need to be inundated with constant stories about how things were so painful and omg you’ll go right for the drugs and blah blah blah. Hearing this will do nothing but cause you to steep in your anxiety and worry about your birth and your baby. Their birth is not your birth and your experience will be all your own.

One of the easiest ways to avoid this is 1. Change the subject 2. Say you have to p*e and leave 3. Say thanks, I’ll consider that 4. Tell them this kind of topic stresses you out (my favorite bc honestly sometimes people don’t realize they’re doing this) I am also not averse to screeching like a barn owl and running away. But that’s just me 🤷🏻‍♀️
