💙National Social Work Month Spotlight💙
This month, we’re proud to celebrate the compassionate professionals who guide residents and families through some of life’s most important transitions. Meet the incredible team at Caprice:
🌸 Valerie Butch
For two decades, Valerie has served as Admission Liaison at Caprice. Throughout marriage, motherhood, the loss of her father, and even her recent breast cancer treatment, she’s felt unwavering support from her Caprice family.
That sense of community is what she loves most about her job — and it’s exactly what she extends to every patient and family she meets. Valerie helps make the admission process less overwhelming by offering education, reassurance, and heartfelt support during difficult times. Her goal? To make every family feel like part of ours. 🤍
🌟 Desarae Leach
As a nurse of 15 years, Desarae now leads Discharge Planning with compassion and expertise. She loves building strong rapport with patients and families and finds it incredibly rewarding to see residents meet their goals and successfully return home.
In just over a year at Caprice, she’s been inspired by the longevity of staff and the outstanding teamwork that defines this community. She’s grateful to be part of it — and excited for what’s ahead.
💜 Laura Myers, LSW
A licensed social worker since 2008, Laura brings both heart and humor to her role. She’s built close bonds with her coworkers — a team that works hard, laughs often, and truly feels like family.
Laura enjoys getting to know each resident, easing their worries, and encouraging them to take things one day at a time. Her favorite moments? The success stories — celebrating when residents return home to their loved ones.
🌼 Lori Rovnak, LSW
Though she’s been with Caprice for just 5 months, Lori brings decades of experience and passion to the team. Being a social worker allows her to advocate fiercely for residents and families during some of life’s most challenging moments.
One unforgettable memory? Receiving a heartfelt hug from a family member after successfully winning an insurance appeal for the third time. 💙
She’s proud to be part of an Admissions and Social Work team that works seamlessly together to support residents and families in every aspect of skilled and long-term care.
💙 This National Social Work Month, we honor Valerie, Desarae, Laura, and Lori for their advocacy, compassion, and commitment to making every resident feel supported, heard, and cared for.
Thank you for all that you do — today and every day. 💐
