Today, I found out I’m officially being traded for a player to be named later.

In September, I’ll be headed to Mercy’s Sahara Trail office in Boardman, just off South Ave & Western Reserve Rd.

The good news is- better parking and no elevators. Just walk right in the front door.

For our local high school athletes, it’s the beginning of winter sports season. We’re about 3-4 weeks in now, and games are just getting set to begin. It’s also the time that injuries start to creep in. Why now? One reason is this - their “load” has exceeded their ability to recover. In other words, the past few weeks of swimming, for example, didn’t bother their shoulder at first. But as they’ve kept going, working harder and harder, and not recovering properly - boom! The body starts sending pain signals to slow down. Most of the swimmers I’ve been seeing have 9 practices a week - 6 in the pool, 3 weight training sessions. Pair that with studying at night, not sleeping properly, social life, etc. It’s a lot.
So what to do?? Stay tuned…
