All good things must come to an end 🥲 Our last day of preceptor spotlights features our internal medicine preceptors!

First, Dr. Hannah Hunt! 👩🏼‍⚕️ A graduate of , she completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency here at Baptist Health - North Little Rock. She is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist, and in addition to precepting internal medicine, she also precepts cardiology 🫀, AND serves as our APPE/IPPE Coordinator!

Last, but most certainly not least, Dr. Josh Lowery! 👨🏻‍⚕️ He is a graduate of and completed his PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Christus St. Vincent in Santa Fe, NM. A Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist, he also serves as our critical care preceptor! 🫁

First up, Dr. SJ Reddin! A graduate of , she completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at The Jewish Hospital - Mercy Health in Cincinnati, Ohio. She is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist and joined our team in 2020.

Next, Dr. Sarah Wright! Dr. Wright is a 2021 graduate of . She completed her PGY1 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR and became a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist thereafter. She joined us at Baptist Health - NLR at the start of 2024! On the 7th day of spotlights, Baptist - NLR gave to me, our preceptors for nephrology! Dr. Willis Johnson is a Board Certified Critical Care Pharmacist and a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist. A graduate of , he started at Baptist Health - North Little Rock in 2013. Dr. Logan Danielsen is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist and a graduate of . He started as a pharmacist at Baptist Health - North Little Rock in 2016.

During the nephrology learning experience, residents learn about various renal replacement modalities and put that knowledge to work by covering renal dose monitoring for patients throughout the hospital, electrolyte monitoring and replacement for critically ill patients on CRRT, and more. Residents also gain experience dosing and monitoring parental nutrition while on this learning experience! 👏

It’s Christmas Eve, and we have a special gift for you all - a DOUBLE preceptor spotlight 🎁 Today we’re featuring our Antimicrobial Stewardship team! 🦠

First up, Dr. Katie Lusardi! 👩🏻‍⚕️ Dr. Lusardi graduated from and then completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Virginia, followed by a PGY2 in Infectious Diseases Phamacy at University of Houston/Cardinal Health in Texas. She is a Board Certified Infectious Diseases Pharmacist and joined the Baptist Health team in 2023.

Next, Dr. Jared Heiles! 🥼 A graduate of , Dr. Heiles completed his PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, followed by a PGY2 Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Residency at Renown Regional Medical Center in Nevada. Dr. Heiles is also a Board Certified Infectious Diseases Pharmacist and joined Baptist Health in 2018.

Dr. Lusardi and Dr. Heiles promote antimicrobial stewardship efforts throughout the Baptist Health system, and they serve as preceptors for our residency program’s Antimicrobial Stewardship elective learning experience. 💊

Day 4️⃣ of the 12 Days of Preceptor Spotlights features our amazing psychiatry preceptor, Dr. Sydney Bridges! 🧠 A graduate, she completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Unity Health in Searcy, AR, followed by a PGY2 Psychiatric Pharmacy Residency at Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital in Nashville, TN before joining our team in 2023.

Baptist Health - North Little Rock has a 22 bed inpatient behavioral health unit designed to optimize mental and physical healing. On the psychiatry learning experience, pharmacy residents have the opportunity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to help care for these patients. 🫶

Fun Fact: In addition to serving as our incredible psych pharmacist, Dr. Bridges also serves as our pharmacy fantasy football commissioner! 🏈

Day 2 of the 12 Days of Preceptor Spotlights, featuring the newly Dr. Anna Miller WELLBORN! Anna Miller got married yesterday and we couldn’t be more excited for her! 👰‍♀️ A 2023 graduate, Dr. Wellborn completed her PGY1 pharmacy residency at UAMS before joining our team at Baptist Health - North Little Rock in Summer 2024. This year, she is serving as preceptor for our Rehabiliation Medicine elective learning experience.

Our inpatient rehabiliation unit has been given the Uniform Data Systems Top Performer award for 10 years, which recognizes rehabilitation hospitals across the nation that perform in the top 10% for clinical outcomes. 🏆 On the inpatient rehabiliation service, pharmacists contribute to a team treatment approach, allowing treatment to be comprehensive and tailored to each individual patient’s needs. 💯 We’re proud to offer this unique elective opportunity!

First, our Residency Program Director and Clinical Coordinator, Dr. Jamie Ballard 🤩 Dr. Ballard is a graduate of and a Board Certified Cardiology Pharmacist 🫀 She started at Baptist Health - North Little Rock in 2021!

Next up, our Director of Pharmacy, Dr. Kim Young 😎 A graduate and a Board Certified Sterile Compounding Pharmacist, she started working at Baptist Health - NLR in 2006. Dr. Young serves as preceptor for the practice management longitudinal learning experience 💼
