✨ I know some people might be wondering — “Who is this person? What is this business? Why are they doing this?”

The truth is, one of my biggest dreams has always been to open a community center. Growing up with a single mom, I didn’t always have people I could confide in or anyone reminding me that I could do great things. That’s why I’ve always felt so connected to kids — because I know they’re the next generation, and I want them to have the encouragement I didn’t always have.

This project is a small step toward that dream. I want to build a community that’s rooted in real support — helping families who might be struggling this Thanksgiving, giving kids a chance to earn a little money, and hopefully helping them meet people who can make a difference in their lives.

We’re still looking for volunteers and kids to join us for our cleanup! 🌎
All participating kids are sponsored by BuzzSide Cleaning, and if you’d like to help or get involved, that’s amazing — but either way, we’re doing this. 💛

Someone once told me, “If you want to make an impact, you don’t wait until it’s perfect — you just do it.”
And that really stuck with me.

When I first moved to Arkansas, I didn’t know anyone, but this community welcomed me with open arms. Little Rock quickly became home — it’s where I’ve built my business, raised my kids, and met some of the kindest people I’ve ever known.

For a long time, I’ve wanted to give something back that was bigger than business. Something that brought people together, gave kids something positive to be part of, and showed how powerful community care really is.

That’s how Buzz the Block was born. 💛

Starting November 7th, we’ll be kicking off our very first Buzz the Block Community Cleanup — from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with lunch served to all volunteers and youth.

We’ll need about 10-15 youth volunteers and 10-12 adult helpers for this first cleanup day.
Our youth will help collect and bag trash, while adults will assist with supervision, supply stations, and safe bag pickup.

Thanks to the City of Little Rock Sustainability Office and Waste Management, we’ll have all the supplies we need — safety vests, litter grabbers, and trash bags — to keep our volunteers safe and prepared.

Confession time 🧽 What’s your funniest or wildest cleaning moment?

I’ll start:
Let me tell you about the time I learned what dry wine really meant… 😂

Back when I was still a solo cleaner, we drove all the way from Arkansas to Oklahoma for this massive move-out clean. I’m in the kitchen, wiping down this fancy wine rack full of bottles that looked older than me.

My client’s chatting with me and says, “Wanna try one?”

Me, thinking I really don’t like wine but don’t want to be rude, can’t be that bad I say: “ Sure, why not?” 🍷

Y’all. Nobody told me “dry wine” actually meant every bit of moisture in your body just leaves the chat. 😭

I stood there trying to smile while my lips turned into the Sahara Desert.

That was the day I learned two lessons:
1. Just say no, save yourself some pain. 😂
2. BuzzSide’s still been serving bold, full-bodied cleans ever since. 😎
