By 2030, 1 in 4 Arkansans will be age 60 or older. The state may not be ready.
Demand for meals, transportation, caregiver support, and other aging services is rising quickly. Across the country, 10,000 baby boomers are turning 65 every day.
At the same time, funding has not kept pace with inflation. Today it takes about $1.30 to buy what $1.00 purchased in 2017, meaning the buying power of aging services like CareLink has steadily declined.

The good news is this challenge is not insurmountable. With thoughtful planning and stronger investment in services that help older adults age at home, Arkansas can meet the moment. But preparation must start now.
