Aneri Desai is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the UAMS. After completing her BSN and working as a RN for 5 years, she developed a strong passion for the mental and emotional well-being of her patients, which inspired her to pursue advanced practice training in mental health. Aneri is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based, and holistic psychiatric care. Her approach goes beyond symptom management by addressing the whole person. She emphasizes the impact of lifestyle factors—such as sleep quality, nutrition, physical activity, and stress regulation on mental health. She also pays close attention to potential underlying medical conditions, including hormonal imbalances, metabolic concerns, or chronic health issues, and encourages patients to follow up with appropriate medical providers when needed. By addressing these interconnected factors, she supports long-term emotional wellness and resilience. She works with adults (ages 18 and older), offering comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, and supportive therapy. Her goal is to empower each patient to live life to their fullest potential through an integrative approach that nurtures the mind, body, and spirit.

This Memorial Day, we honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

As we reflect with gratitude, let’s also remember the importance of supporting the mental health of our veterans, active-duty service members, and those in recovery.

For many, this holiday brings connection and celebration. But for others, especially those battling substance use, social anxiety, PTSD, or feelings of isolation, it can be a tough time.

Let’s honor our heroes not just in remembrance—but by creating a world where everyone feels supported and seen.

At Journey Wellness Clinic, we recognize the importance of prioritizing the mental health of children and adolescents in Arkansas. Our team of clinicians is knowledgeable in providing mental health care services to youth, and we are proud to have two dual-board certified pediatric and psych/mental health practitioners, Deena Garner and Lindsay Van Parys. We invite caregivers to contact us if they have children ages 4-17 years old (and as young as 2 years old if the concern is autism spectrum disorder) who appear to be struggling with behavioral and/or emotional challenges.
