About Me

This business has been a vision on mine since I decided massage therapy was my niche. Before going to school, I hadn’t even had a professional massage. Growing up, I was an athlete so I was always conditioning, stretching and utilizing chiropractic care as needed. My brother and dad would have me walk on their backs or push with my hands along their spine to get some relief from the everyday aches and pains. As I got older, I realized I had a fascination for the human body and the many things its capable of doing. First I thought I would get into the medical field, Radiology perhaps. Then I faced the truth that comes along with the western medical field; there are so many restrictions, protocols and red tape that get in the way of helping the whole person. After of decade of working in this field, here is what I’ve come to accept as truths: our bodies are very much connected, from our head to our toes; external influences the internal and vice versa; emotional pain does affect our bodies, sometimes long term; where you are feeling the pain isn’t necessarily where the issue is located. So how can we pick apart a body, only treating one area at a time? Nature’s Remedy is my approach of combing my education and industry experience; therapeutic massage, relaxing self-care treatments and natural products, to let your body naturally take care of itself. One of the requirements in this profession is to always continue your education. This allows the therapist to specialize in different areas of massage. I’ve decided to become medically certified to allow me to help those suffering from chronic ailments, auto accident injuries and accept many insurances. Massage therapy shouldn’t be seen as just a luxury, but a vital part of happy, healthy living. A surprising number of doctors will agree with this, and many of those same doctors will prescribe regular massage for a variety of issues.
