What would we change?

πŸ–₯ Monitor height - your monitor should ideally sit two inches above resting eye level. Too high or too low can result in straining your neck in certain positions.

πŸ–₯ πŸ’» Multiple monitors - placement of your second monitor depends on how much you use it, what you use it for, and type of monitor.

πŸ—„ Desk positioning: height of the desk and chair ideally want to be positioned so that our body rests easily in 90 degree angles. Since we can’t always change the desk or chair we can use add ons like pillows, boxes under our feet, or drop down tray tables to help position our bodies to fit our desk.

πŸͺ‘ Chair positioning: ideally your chair allows your legs to rest comfortably on the floor, supports your lower back, supports your arms, and is the right depth so your knees don’t hit the back.

Keeping your blood sugar levels within the range recommended by your doctor can be challenging. That's because many things make your blood sugar levels change, sometimes unexpectedly. Following are some factors that can affect your blood sugar levels.

1. Food.
- If you have diabetes, you need to know how foods affect your blood sugar levels
- Learn about carbohydrate counting and portion sizes.
- Make every meal well balanced
- Coordinate your meals and medications
- Avoid sugar-sweetened beverages

2. Exercise
- Physical activity is another important part of your diabetes management plan. When you exercise, your muscles use sugar (glucose) for energy.
Regular physical activity also helps your body use insulin more efficiently.

3. Medication
- Insulin and other diabetes medications are designed to lower your blood
sugar levels when diet and exercise alone aren't sufficient for managing diabetes

4. Menstruation and menopause
- Changes in hormone levels the week before and during menstruation can
result in significant fluctuations in blood sugar levels.

The more you know about factors that influence your blood sugar level, the more you can anticipate fluctuations β€” and plan accordingly. If you're having trouble keeping your blood sugar level in your target range, ask your diabetes health care team for help.
