On April 30, 2026, MJD Wellness and Community Center, in partnership with Farm Share and the City of North Miami Beach, alongside Ketly Joachim’s team, proudly participated in a community food distribution at the Uleta Community Center in North Miami Beach.

This food drive, organized at the invitation of Ketly Joachim, reflects our deep commitment to working with the community and for the community. Our mission is clear: to grow closer to the people we serve each and every day.

We were honored by the presence of the City Manager of North Miami Beach and a City Commissioner, whose support continues to strengthen our collective impact.

A Historic Recognition for Community Leadership

On April 21, 2026, Commissioner Daniela Jean officially issued a proclamation honoring Emmanuella Fleurimont, Founding President and CEO of MJD Wellness and Community Center, for her outstanding and continued service to the community.

The proclamation recognized her remarkable leadership, multilingual background, and unwavering commitment to serving underserved populations across South Florida. It also highlighted her impact through numerous initiatives, partnerships, and awards that continue to transform lives.

In a heartfelt acceptance speech, Ms. Fleurimont expressed deep gratitude to God, the Commission, and her dedicated team. She shared a powerful personal story about a vision she once had, to organize an event in Highland Village that would bring her closer to the Latino community. With the support of the city, that vision became a reality, reflecting her mission to unite and uplift diverse communities.

In recognition of her contributions, Mayor Michael Joseph, Esq., along with the Commission of North Miami Beach, officially proclaimed November 1st, 2026, as “Emmanuella Fleurimont Day.”

This milestone stands as a testament to the power of service, vision, and community-driven leadership.

Participation of MJD Wellness and Community Center in the annual conference organized by the Florida Blue Foundation under the theme “The Power of Connection.”

From April 15 to 17, 2026, in Orlando, this important event brought together professionals and leaders from the nonprofit, healthcare, and community service sectors. Several speakers discussed key topics aimed at improving how organizations are managed and how they can better serve their communities.

This annual conference provides a valuable opportunity for organizations working in the same field to connect, share experiences, and build meaningful partnerships. It also helps participants align their efforts and connect their agencies with individuals and organizations that can support and strengthen their mission.
