It has been exciting to practice what I preach and work on all the prenatal core/pelvic floor work that I have worked with so many wonderful mamas on 🩷.

Rhivive’s Pelvic Power and Strength class is designed to educate participants on the importance of the core and pelvic floor muscles and how they contribute to overall health and well-being. You will learn practical exercises aimed at strengthening the pelvic floor and core muscles. Participants learn about the anatomy and function of these muscles, common issues such as incontinence or back pain, and how proper strength and mobility can alleviate these problems. These sessions are beneficial for a wide range of individuals, including those recovering from childbirth, athletes looking to enhance performance, or anyone interested in improving their strength and preventing future pelvic floor issues.

⭐️ Coccyx (tailbone) pain postpartum ⭐️ this is common but not normal and you don’t have to live with it! It is oftentimes a sign that the pelvic floor and the bones of the pelvis need some TLC. After all, they have been through a lot! A pelvic floor physical therapist can evaluate you to identify which tissues are causing problems and come up with a personalized plan to get you feeling better. 💪🏼🩷

Everyone should see a pelvic floor PT postpartum but especially if you have pain. Being a mom is hard enough as it is! Let a pelvic floor PT help you to feel like yourself again so you can fill your own cup and show up for others.

Many moms will come to pelvic floor PT after their 6 week follow up with their midwife or OB. Some can start as early as 2 weeks postpartum for gentle mobility work. It is never too late to work on your pelvic floor and core.

We have “prehab” programs to improve athletes’ recovery from knee surgery, but not for women about to go through the major physical changes of pregnancy!

Whether you have some current pelvic floor issues or just want to do what you can to stay strong and healthy during pregnancy, pelvic PT can be a game changer.

Working with a pelvic floor PT can help:
💪🏼 strengthen core, glutes, pelvic floor and posture muscles
🧘‍♀️ relax your pelvic floor (tension is more common than you think!)
💦 work on any current pelvic floor issues
🤰🏻 birth prep strategies such as push practice and labor positions
